Nursing
Glendale Memorial has a newly remodeled cancer unit with specialized nurses. They are able to advise patients on managing side effects and teach them about their disease. We care for the patient and the family.
Nutritional/Psychosocial
The cancer unit has specially trained nutritional specialists as well as psychosocial counselors who are available to assist the patients and their families. Patients will have access to these specialists and be visited as needed at regular intervals.
Diagnostic Imaging
Diagnostic imaging studies are done routinely during the course of radiation treatment. CT scans and ultrasounds can be obtained at the diagnostic imaging department at Glendale Memorial Hospital. For more information, call (818) 502-2327.
Transportation
The American Cancer Society offers a trasportation program for patients undergoing cancer treatment. For more information, call 1-800-ACS-2345.
Financial Counseling
Financial counseling as well as an explanation about Medicare, managed care and other insurance coverages will be provided by the financial counselor at Glendale Memorial Hospital.
